We are people working towards a future of cities and towns with abundant housing, work and play only a short bike or transit ride away; safe and independent mobility for all; lively and green public spaces; clean air and water; and affordability for all who wish to live there.
We value the principles of environmentalism, building for people, and sharing space.
Urban Environmentalists has chapters in Illinois, Los Angeles, and the San Francisco Bay Area. Nationwide, we are a network of roughly 11,000 activists. Our work is driven by grassroots volunteer Leads, our national Advisory Board, and engaged volunteers like you.
Urban environmentalism is hugely impactful, yet it is often an overlooked topic in the environmental movement. We're here to be your home for learning more, and we'd love to answer any questions you might have. We love to get in the weeds!
